# Mountain Lion Defies Gravity!

There are few animals that seem as perfectly at home in the rugged Montana landscape as the mountain lion. Rarely seen and incredibly elusive, they move through the country with such confidence, making even the steepest terrain look like a walk in the park.

Mountain lions are built for this kind of country. Their powerful hind legs, muscular bodies, and sharp retractable claws allow them to climb, leap, and navigate rocky slopes with remarkable ease. What looks like an impassable wall of rock to us can be little more than another route through the landscape for a mountain lion.

This short video offers a glimpse of that remarkable ability. Watch as a mountain lion effortlessly works its way up a steep rocky outcropping in Montana, moving through terrain that seems almost impossibly rugged with the kind of ease that only a true master of the landscape can possess.
